PURPOSE
This statement sets out Well Care Support’s actions to understand all potential modern slavery risks related to its business, and to put in place steps that are aimed at ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking in its own business and its supply chains. Well Care Support recognises that it has a responsibility to take a robust approach to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking. Well Care Support is absolutely committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in all of its activities, and to ensuring that its supply chains are free from slavery and human trafficking.

This statement covers Well Care Support Limited (Company Number: 15165875) Well Care Support operates in the UK only, and supply within the UK only.

SUPPLY CHAINS Our supply chains are non-complex, and typically fall in to one of two models: • Purchasing directly from the manufacturer • Purchasing from a distributor, who is authorised to distribute goods and services on behalf of the manufacturer.

RELEVANT POLICIES
Well Care Support operates the following policies that describe its approach to the identification of modern slavery risks and steps to be taken to prevent slavery and human trafficking in its operations:

Whistleblowing Policy – Well Care Support encourages all its workers, customers and other business partners to report any concerns related to the direct activities, or the supply chains of Well Care Support. This includes any circumstances that may give rise to an enhanced risk of slavery or human trafficking. Well Care Support’s whistleblowing procedure is designed to make it easy for workers to make disclosures, without fear of retaliation.

Employee Code of Conduct Well Care Support’s code makes clear to employees the actions and behaviour expected of them when representing Well Care Support. Well Care Support strives to maintain the highest standards of employee conduct and ethical behaviour when operating abroad and managing its supply chain.

Supplier Code of Conduct
Well Care Support’s code of conduct outlines the  commitment to ensuring that its suppliers adhere to the highest standard of ethics. Suppliers are required to demonstrate that they provide safe working conditions where necessary, treat workers with dignity and respect, and act ethically and within the law in their use of labour. Under this commitment, Well Care Support may work with suppliers as necessary to ensure that they meet the standards of the code and improve their worker’s working conditions. Serious violations of the Supplier Code of Conduct, however may lead to sanctions against the supplier, and ultimately, termination of the business relationship. Further works on policy development and evolution will continue through 2023-24.


RECRUITMENT AND HR POLICY
Enhanced procedures are used to ensure that Well Care Support only utilises reputable employees to source labour, and verifies any new worker before accepting then to the agency. The processes for ‘eligibility to work in the UK’ (Right to Work) checks for all employees to safeguard against human trafficking or individuals being forced to work against their will Inline with this commitment, Well Care Support has worked through 2023 to fully digitised Modern Slavery Statement (2023), its HR processes, and enhance its ‘Right to Work’ checks for employees.  Work. We will continue to develop our recruitment policy through 2023-24.


DUE DILIGENCE
Well Care Support will continue its work in building out processes to undertake enhanced levels of due diligence when considering taking on new employees and suppliers, and regularly review of existing employees and suppliers.


PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Well Care Support has reviewed its key performance indicators (KPIs) in light of the introduction of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.


TRAINING
We are committed to ensuring that our employees are able to recognise, help prevent, and report acts (and suspected acts) of Modern slavery. Our policies, (i.e. Whistleblowing, and Employee Code of Conduct) are made available to all employees via the staff handbook.
